Bombshell Development in Nancy Guthrie Disappearance Case Just Hours Before ‘FINAL’ Deadline

Family Says ‘We Will Pay’ For Return Of Nancy Guthrie

Today show co-anchor Savannah Guthrie and her siblings released a new video Sunday appealing for the safe return of their missing mother, Nancy Guthrie, and urging anyone with information to come forward.

In the video posted to social media, the Guthrie children addressed potential witnesses or anyone in contact with their mother, asking for “proof she is alive” and reiterating their deep concern. Savannah Guthrie said the family was “anxiously waiting” for word and appealed for compassion and cooperation from anyone with relevant information.

“We received your message, and we understand,” Guthrie said in the brief video posted to Instagram, ABC13 reported. “We beg you now to return our mother to us so that we can celebrate with her. This is the only way that we will have peace. This is very valuable to us, and we will pay.”

“We are aware of the video posted by the Guthrie family. But don’t have any additional information to share,” a spokesperson for Pima Sheriff said in a statement to ABC News on Saturday following the release of the latest video from the family.

The emotional plea comes as authorities continue their investigation into Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance. Law enforcement has not publicly identified suspects or confirmed any verified leads. The Pima County Sheriff’s Office described the situation as an active investigation and has been working with the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

The FBI is offering a $50,000 reward for information that could lead to the recovery of Nancy Guthrie and/or an arrest and conviction related to her abduction.

According to authorities, Nancy Guthrie was dropped off at her home in the Catalina Foothills area, north of Tucson, Arizona, shortly after 10 p.m. on January 31, after having dinner with her family. She was reported missing the following morning when she did not show up for Sunday church services.

Officials have said they believe Nancy was taken from her home in the Catalina Foothills area near Tucson. She was reported missing after family members became concerned when she did not appear for a planned outing.

Investigators previously disclosed that a potential ransom note was received but did not provide proof of life or contact information. The authenticity of the note remains under review.

A doorbell camera at her home was disconnected at approximately 1:45 a.m. on Sunday morning, according to authorities. Shortly before 2:30 a.m., her pacemaker app indicated that it was also disconnected from her phone.

Additionally, her blood was discovered on the porch of her home, as reported by the sheriff.

Investigators have not yet identified a suspect or person of interest in this case, as stated by Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos during a press briefing on Thursday.

Ransom notes have been sent to several local and national media outlets, according to the FBI.

Prior to the video released on Saturday, Savannah Guthrie and her siblings had shared other videos urging their mother’s suspected kidnappers to make contact with them and provide proof that she is still alive.

President Donald Trump said Friday that investigators have uncovered what he described as “very strong clues” in the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of Today show co-anchor Savannah Guthrie, and suggested authorities could have answers in the case soon.

Trump made the comments while speaking to reporters, saying recent developments have provided promising leads for law enforcement officials working the case. He did not offer specifics about the nature of the evidence, citing the ongoing investigation.

“I’ll give you a little statement, I think we’re doing very well in that regard,” Trump said, according to People Magazine.

“You’re probably surprised to hear that. I think we’re doing very well, meaning we have some clues I think that are very strong, and I think we could have some answers coming up fairly soon,” Trump added.
