Trump Calls on FBI To Investigate ‘Epstein Hoax’ That Was ‘Put Out by Democrats’

President Donald Trump called on the FBI to look into what he called “this Jeffrey Epstein hoax,” arguing that he believes it was manufactured by Democrats.

Last week, the president’s supporters were outraged by a Department of Justice document that indicated that deceased child sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein lacked the much-touted client list he was thought to have. The statement also repeated the department’s conclusion that Epstein committed suicide in a detention cell in 2019.

MAGA supporters have long expected Trump to divulge damaging evidence from the Epstein case that would incriminate wealthy and powerful individuals. Attorney General Pam Bondi stated in February that Epstein’s list was “sitting on my desk.” Furthermore, when they were political commentators, FBI Director Kash Patel and FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino made the Epstein case their favorite topic. Both men, however, are allegedly furious with Bondi’s conclusions.

Trump called into “Real America’s Voice” on Wednesday and said that Democrats perpetrated the “Jeffrey Epstein hoax.”

Host John Solomon asked the president what he would like the FBI to examine.

“I think they could look at all of it. It’s all the same scam. They could look at this Jeffrey Epstein hoax also because that’s the same stuff. That’s all put out by Democrats. And, you know, some of the naive Republicans fall right into line like they always do. They just don’t have the, they don’t have the sustainability. They don’t, there’s something. They don’t have that sticktuitive like glue,” Trump said.

“The Democrats, you know, they have bad policy. They have bad candidates. They have bad everything. But they stick together. The Republicans don’t do that. But they oughta look into the Jeffrey Epstein hoax, too, because that’s another hoax that’s, frankly, put out by the Democrats, pushing the Republicans and put out by the Democrats,” Trump added.

“No, they definitely set the Republicans up,” Solomon replied before asking if Trump would appoint “one big prosecutor to look at it all.”

“Well, I think it’s, in the case of Epstein, they’ve already looked at it and they are looking at it, and I think all they have to do is put out anything credible. But you know, that was run by the Biden administration for four years. I can imagine what they put into files just like they did with the others,” Trump replied.

Earlier this week, President Trump expressed confidence in Bongino.

During a press gaggle at Joint Base Andrews on Sunday evening, Trump was asked if Bongino was still the deputy FBI director and whether the two men had spoken recently.

“Oh I think so. I did, I spoke to him today. Dan Bongino, very good guy. I’ve known him a long time. I’ve done his show many many times. He sounded terrific, actually. No, I think he’s in good shape,” Trump said.

Bongino has been at the center of the internal conflict over the Epstein case, according to a person close to the situation, who claims that the deputy director is unhappy about how the records were handled and has argued with Justice Department authorities.

FBI Director Kash Patel has responded amid the fallout from reports of internal division and chaos over the Justice Department’s memo last week announcing it was moving on from the Jeffrey Epstein case.

Patel stated on social media that he’s not going anywhere after rumors swirled that he might resign if Deputy Director Dan Bongino stepped down over disagreements with how Bondi handled the situation.

Patel posted on X, “The conspiracy theories just aren’t true, never have been. It’s an honor to serve the President of the United States Donald Trump — and I’ll continue to do so for as long as he calls on me.”
